Application Engineer

Location: Mansfield, OH (on-site)

Position Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Application Engineer that will provide direct technical application support to customers to develop new business opportunities related to sensors and sensing systems. The incumbent will coordinate, analyze and communicate information and take leadership as a result of customer input, sales, or management, as well as research, evaluate, and identify current and emerging sensor technologies to satisfy customer needs in current or new industries. Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct technical application support to customers to identify and propose solutions that meet their needs as well as compile and submit technical information and test reports to support the customer’s project schedule.
  • Evaluate current and emerging sensor technologies from an applications perspective to understand the advantages and limitations. Identifies applicable sensor technologies to satisfy customer needs.
  • Develop product concepts and preliminary concept designs for further evaluation of feasibility.

New Product Mechanical Engineer

Location: Mansfield, OH (on-site)

Position Summary

We are seeking an innovative New Product Mechanical Engineer that will develop innovative sensor processes based on advanced technologies to meet customer requirements. The incumbent will conceptualize new product processes and manufacturing methods in collaboration with customers, technology partners, and the overall product development team. They will analyze, communicate, and lead process and equipment design information between internal and external project stakeholders. Position Responsibilities:

  • Write detailed product/process -requirements specifications including functional and performance requirements as well as the applicable agency, quality, and reliability requirements with input from Customer(s), Marketing, Sales, (external) Agencies, and Management.
  • Develop and manage an overall product/process development plan to meet the applicable functional, performance, quality, cost, reliability, and agency requirements; identifies skills and resources needed to execute the plan within agreed-upon timelines.
  • Design, develop, and test new products/processes with input from NPD team members to meet the specified requirements; use appropriate modeling techniques and tools to accelerate and improve the design and development process; identifies and document any potential IP for management review.
  • Identify outside resources such as consultants, product designers, and (contract) manufacturers to complement the internal resources as needed in the product/process design and development process; manage outside resources without compromising any existing or potential Sensience IP.
  • Maintain detailed development records; identify and document any potential IP for management review.
  • Lead discussions with product/process development team members and customers to develop FMEAs as required; write and approve FMEAs per Sensience procedures.
  • Use appropriate analytical tools to analyze and interpret data, and reach relevant conclusions; prepare reports and presentations as needed to communicate project status and issues with customers and management.
  • Generate all appropriate documents including drawings, product specifications, materials specifications, test specifications, etc. to document the product development history as well as ensure efficient product/process transfer to Manufacturing and Product Engineering.

Position Requirements:

  • Requires a BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline with a minimum of eight (5) years of experience in product/process design, testing, development, and project management.
  • Must be skilled in the use of product/process design and analysis software and tools; knowledgeable of statistical analysis methods and tools; familiar with PC including spreadsheets, word processing, presentation, and project management software.
  • Product modeling experience and familiarity with software/tools including Solid Edge; Familiarity with CFD and FEA software is preferred.

Global Compensation and Benefits Director

We are seeking a Global Compensation & Benefits Director to stand up and lead differentiating compensation and benefits programs globally. In this role, the incumbent will build out corporate wide compensation and benefit programs, oversee HR operations, and lead our global HRIS implementation. With major operations in China, Mexico, and Thailand, they will ensure that all programs are competitive, sustainable, and scalable while maintaining strong day-to-day HR operations. The incumbent will oversee setting up a successful system for our long-term success while managing a team based in both Mansfield and Manila. Position Responsibilities:

  • Execute the compensation and benefits vision and strategy in support of Sensience’s overarching goals
  • Oversee our global HRIS implementation across 10+ countries. Ensure scalable, simplified design.

Information Technology Technical Services Manager

Location: Columbus, OH Metropolitan Area (On-site)

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive IT Technical Services Manager that will help develop strategies and plans and lead the implementation of technical infrastructure for the Local Area Network (LAN) and server systems serving the Mansfield Sensience location and applications. The incumbent will also evaluate performance and troubleshoot network and operating systems problems. Sr. Insurance Analyst

Sensience seeks a Sr. Insurance Analyst to assist with the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of the Company’s risk management and corporate insurance program. Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary contact with 3rd party insurance broker
  • Participate in periodic stewardship and insurance review meetings.

Continuous Improvement Manager

Location: Mansfield, OH (on-site)

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on leader as our Continuous Improvement Manager that will direct the Sensience strategy for the implementation of operations process improvement initiatives. The incumbent will provide leadership by implementing Lean methodologies across the entire Company mainly with a concentration in Mexico, China, Thailand, and the United States. They will create guidelines, training, and standard methods to provide consistent implementation in all Sensience locations worldwide. Also, they will assist in the identification of key leaders for operations process improvement implementation at each location. Position Responsibilities:

  • Establish general guidelines to be followed by each Sensience location for methods to be used in the implementation of operations process improvement. Provides consistency among all facilities in areas such as 5S+1, Visual Factory, performance metrics, displays, etc. Directly supervises the implementation of operations process improvement techniques in all Sensience locations as required.
  • Ensure that each site/plant has multiple individuals, including the Plant Manager of each facility, knowledgeable about the techniques and capable of leading the implementation efforts. Helps develop resources and skill sets in each site/department to support the Company’s operations process improvement strategy.
  • Direct the efforts of the Lean experts (Divisional Black Belts) in collaboration with Operations Quality functions.
  • Coordinate, develop, implement and provide operations process improvement training/workshops for implementation and refresher sessions as required. Directs efforts to utilize outside resources as needed
  • Evaluate current practices, recommend changes, and monitor implementation activities to better achieve increased customer, productivity, and inventory management and enhance Sensience’s global growth potential. Directs and participates in the yearly value stream mapping budget review process. Develop the manufacturing strategy for the plant.
  • Coordinate the project management review process to ensure projects meet capital, timing, savings, and quality estimates.
  • Establish yearly targets for cost reductions and capital spending. Monitors and reports monthly on progress against objectives.
  • Guide and collaborate with engineering support for all manufacturing departments.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and recommends merit increases, promotions, transfers, and other personnel actions including corrective/disciplinary actions.
  • Develop Divisional level strategic operating plan and Company Gap Analysis. Provide oversight to ensure the execution of key initiatives. Monitors progress and reports to the executive team.
  • Get involved in all aspects of the business, including office/back-office activities, to improve material and information flow and personnel activity.
  • Lead the Executive Operations Process Improvement Steering Committee. Report on the implementation status of the Company and each location on a routine basis.
  • Up to 25% travel will be required

Position Requirements:

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, with a minimum of five (5) years experience in operations, and manufacturing-related assignments. Previous managerial experience required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Lean Champion Certified. At least “Green Belt” in 6 Sigma Certification.

Sales Manager – Western Region

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Sales Manager that will be responsible for the sale of Company products in a specified territory. Performs all traditional account management responsibilities for all accounts in a specified territory. In this role, the incumbent will work from a home office.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Product Manager that will be responsible for developing and implementing product line strategies for increasing sales and profits in line with Sensience’s objectives. Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead, and communicates clear strategic initiatives for assigned product families with a primary focus on profitable sales growth.

  • Manage product line pricing globally.

We are seeking a proactive Executive Assistant that will be accountable for managing a broad variety of executive and administrative tasks for the CEO and key members of their staff including the CFO. This will include proactive management of an active calendar of appointments and meetings; composing and preparing correspondence and communication; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas; compiling documents for meetings; and handling expense reports. Position Responsibilities:

Executive Support

  • Support the CEO and their executive staff with internal and external commitments related to meetings, appointments, and planning; assist with prioritizing obligations, and flag important and urgent items for attention
  • Coordinate travel, transportation, and hotel accommodations, as well as manage destination itinerary and process travel expenses
  • Conduct research on and assemble material required for presentations and reports
  • Review, route, answer, and monitor follow-up actions on correspondence
  • Answer and route phone calls, mail, and email messages
  • Draft memoranda and prepare/distribute announcements to Sensience employees
  • Communicate with the general staff on behalf of the CEO and coordinate logistics of high-level meetings, both, internally and externally

Communication and Human Resources Support:

  • Draft and distribute general employee communication on key announcements and events; Maintain organizational charts
  • Distribute calendar invitations for employee webcasts and distribute call information to remote workers; confirm webcasts connect appropriately at the scheduled time

Meeting and Facility Support:

  • Organize employee lunches for in-house training and meetings, as requested, and process related expenses to the appropriate cost-center
  • Ensure any requested events, both on and offsite, are planned and executed on time and on budget
  • Serve as principal contact and source of information to staff members of Sensience and external customers
  • Support maintenance requests; liaise with 3rd party maintenance providers
